We've been doing a lot of work in our back yard lately. We dug up all the nasty paving stones on the side of our garage and bought landscaping bricks to make a flower bed instead. Johnny's dad was able to get them level and straight much to my delight.
If you look just past this bush on this side of the fence you'll see the remaining "wilderness" in our neighbor's yard. She recently did away with those weeds and bamboo but the entire mulched area that you see here was consumed with high weeds, bamboo and an ofshoot of a tree from our other neighbor's yard. We dug it all up, tree stump and all, planted a hydrangea bush and laid down some mulch. You can't imagine how much nicer it looks.
Finally, our pride and joy (of which we did relatively none of the work) is our garden. We have tomato plants, zuchinni squash, butternut squash, green peppers, yellow peppers, carrots and beans. My amazing Grandfather came over and did all of the work. My job is watering and weeding which I've done faithfully for two weeks... I have a bit of a black thumb so I'm hoping my Grandfather's touch will override my inability to keep plants alive.
Finally, what you come here for... pictures of our little gal. Adeline loves to be outside and has scraped up knees and legs to prove it. She also has some adorable tan lines right in her fat rolls. She's gotten them in the creases of her arms too since she only walks with her arms bent up in the air. Here she is all hot and sweaty and with one of her favorite outdoor props... sidewalk chalk.

Where did my chalk go??
Wow, that was weird.
Back to playing.
