the smile, the hat and the happenings

As requested, here is a picture of John Michael smiling! Of course, none of these smiles were for me. They were for Grandma H, GG and my Aunt Terri.

Right now this is my favorite picture of John Michael - look how chunky he's getting!



Addy is breaking five teeth (have I mentioned that?) which is especially odd since she only has five right now!! So, she has been even more attached to Lucy & her paci and has developed a new attachment to a blankie that she used to be attached to. I hope it sticks... as annoying as it would be to have two attachments I've always wanted my kids to have a "blankie" just like the Sexton kids!

John Michael is 13 pounds 14 ounces and 25 1/4" long. I haven't been as strict with his schedule as I was with Addy's - mainly because I don't have as much time to pay attention to what time it is! I am trying to be more aware of it but since he has dropped his middle of the night feeding a couple of weeks ago I'm not as motivated.

This Friday we go to Florida!!

2 months old!

John Michael is officially two months old! I can't believe it - he's growing so fast and so big. He has recently started sleeping through the night (for the most part) and smiling.... though the stinker loves to smile for anyone and anything (fans and teddy bears included) except for me! But, I know he loves me anyway - after all I am the one who feeds him!!

My dad bought him this adorable outfit so to celebrate him being two months old we had ourselves a little photo shoot... hehe

The Almost Happy Hamstras

Shannon was nice enough to take some pictures of our family when we went to her house for dinner last week! I was commenting on how few pictures I have of me with the kids since I'm usually the one holding the camera so she took some of Addy & I!

Mommy & Adeline doing what Adeline loves best - READING! I hope this love for books continues. I grew up a "reader" and I hope she does too!



Here I'm trying to get Addy to sit on my back to take another picture. This is about as close as we got. She was up way past her bedtime and sitting still to pose for a picture wasn't exactly an option at this point!



But quickly taking a picture while I'm tickling her to emit a smile worked.....

Ajai didn't seem to have a problem getting Addy to cooperate for this picture. He is so good with Adeline and as a result Addy just adores him!

CORNFEST! Anyone from Indiana knows we just have the BEST corn out here! Come visit if you don't believe us! Grandfather & TuTu kindly brought us some fresh corn on the cob last week. We ate it in the first two days with Addy's help of course... she just LOVES corn on the cob!

notice those pretty finger nails... it lasted less than a few hours and it all disappeared. I have no idea how!

So... what do we think about these picture sizes?

For those of you who blog a lot of pictures... I downloaded Flock which is a web browser very similar to Firefox... BUT it has a feature that allows you to drag and drop pictures to upload them onto flikr or photobucket and then drag and drop the pictures onto your blog! I'm LOVING it. It makes uploading a breeze. I've been using photobucket but this one is through flikr to see if I like the size better. Eager to hear your input!!

Uncle DD & Auntie Beth fans, future marine?

Adeline just loves Uncle DD & Auntie Beth. One of the ways we knew she wasn't feeling well last weekend was because she wouldn't get excited about seeing them! She always runs up and gives them snuggles and kisses but instead she would just cry and want me to hold her. :(
