Rubber Ducky, You're the one....

Johnny couldn't resist when he saw this giant rubber ducky at Marshall's. It was only $4.00 but that isn't really the point... we can't go into the kids section of Target or Marshall's without buying something for Addy. Correction: Johnny can't.

Addy is loving bath time more and more. She's always enjoyed baths but now she is splashing and giggling the whole time. During this bath she discovered that she could clap her two little duckies together. She thought it was hysterical, you can see some of the funny pictures of her laughing.

MOMS WHO READ MY BLOG: Is teething snot always clear? Sunday night Addy got a really stuffy nose and the snot isn't just clear... its also got some thicker parts in it. Is this normal or did she get a cold?

Oh the teething snot debate...I'm of the opinion that teething snot is usually clear, but all snot that is clear is teething snot.
Adults have runny noses with clear snot, and we aren't teething. :)
Just a thought. HOWEVER, she is definitely teething so I'd think that was the problem.

fill in the rest. hehe... :-)

that is one giant ducky! wow. you could ride that all the way to iceland.

hmm.. i don't remember nasal fluids during priya's teething. just that she got pretty whiny and a little irritable. but i wasn't with her all the time, so i can't be too sure.

What a happy bathy baby! Love it!

Ya, usually clear. Probably a little cold. You know what you can do for her, since you are still bf-ing??? (This is from Dr. Rosy) Kiss her mouth, and < gross gasp > try to get some of that nasty snot in your mouth!!! I know it is really gross, but within 2-3 hours, your breastmilk will be producing antibodies to specifically fight off whatever it is she has! Isnt that amazing!!!

P.S. Dominique got a green snotty nose a couple weeks ago, so I did this, and WALA! the next day she was fine!!!!! :-D~

CLARIFICATION: I knew my last post would raise some eyebrows ;), but after a call from an alarmed Candi J.... I thought I better clarify: I DO NOT SUCK SNOT OUT OF MY CHILDREN'S NOSES!!! (Although Im sure it would be highly effective.) LOL :) What I did do (for the first time) the other week, was kiss my baby on the mouth, and yes, her upper lip was kind of snotty. It is still kinda gross, but when its a baby, and it is YOUR baby, it is tolerable. And especially when you know *why* you are doing it. :)
Oh, and just thought I would add, that if you want to use this principle in the preventative sense, Dr. Rosy just says that you should kiss every person that comes into your house *on the mouth* so that your milk will provide your baby with antibodies and they wont catch anyone's diseases. :) (I DONT do this!!) On a less agressive scale, you could shake hands at least, to get at least some of their germs. :)

Oh, my goodness...she is so cute when she's cracking up! And I think she looks a lot like her daddy. Wow! Lots of fun.

She's a sweetie.

I love her laughs, so adorable!! I love the ducky.

With my limited understanding, non-clear snot can be a symptom of a cold, nothing major. If it is green then it is "more" serious. Connor's nose would run when he was teething, just before they broke through and it was always clear.

Pretty interesting about Dr Rosy's comment, it does make sense. WOW!!!
