An update

John Michael is becoming more and more animated. He is almost 11 months and crawling sporadically. When it isn't easy to army crawl/slither around he'll brave it on his knees but for the most part he's still slithering around on his belly! Today Johnny saw him WALKING while pushing our dining room chair around. Adeline used to love that too. Maybe he'll kind of skip over the official crawling? I hear a lot of kids do.

He is also into EVERYTHING! Addy wasn't ever that curious. He loves to dig through everything. He also has a small obsession with balls. He finds them everywhere and instinctively throws them. Its really cute. There are such obvious differences between little girls and little boys!

I LOVE this kid.

Here he is playing in a yard toy my mom bought him. He loves to climb over it and fall onto the other side. Such a little boy!

And never has a brother adored his little sister more. He just loves to play with her!

Adeline has been saying the "darndest" things lately.

For Johnny's birthday we had strawberry pancakes for breakfast... Johnny loves strawberries so he was regularly communicating how good they thought they were. Addy followed suit and looked at me and said, "Honey, these are delicious!"

While I was disciplining Addy the other day I said to her, "Addy do you know how much Mommy loves you?" She sniffled and in a pathetically whiny voice said, "yes Mommy.... too much."

She also has shown quite the tendency to be bossy and insist on her own way. Johnny and I were having a conversation the other day and Addy wanted to say something so she yelled, "Daddy, stop it!" Johnny, surprised, said "Stop what Addy?" To which she replied, "STOP TALKING!"

She clearly doesn't want you talking to someone else when she wants your attention. And she also doesn't want you just being silent! The other day I put her in her carseat in the van and went back inside to tell get a few things. The whole time I was gone I heard her calling me, "Mommy! Mommy!" Of course I didn't answer her because I was inside the house! But, when I came back to the van she looked at me with this serious face and said, "Mommy stop ignoring me!" I was SHOCKED! I didn't even know she knew that word! I guess she learned it from me teaching her not to ignore me!

So... our precious little girl definitely has a defiant streak. Though I don't know how you could think that while looking at this angelic face.

Hehe...

And finally, this picture was taking a while ago. We were on a walk together and Addy wanted a snack. We gave her a pretzel rod and went on our way. John Michael was a little fussy but he quieted down after a few minutes and I didn't think about it until we got back to the house.... and realized that Addy had given him a pretzel! (Up until this point I didn't give him pretzels and if I did I wouldn't have given him an entire rod!) Of course now that's his favorite snack.

Look at this face! Caught red handed and messy faced!

Ahhh, Pretzel Rods! Gotta love those. I remember passing those out to Simon and Chloe way back when just to get through Meijer with Aim. It's unbelieveable that we thought having 1 child was difficult. :)

Michelle! I love reading about your children! They seem like such little angels when I'm around; I would never expect Addy to say such things haha! That's part of them growing up though, right? So fast, so fast. Naw, she's sweet, and that's part of her personality coming out now :)
