Not only does Addy have her family wrapped around her little finger.. the high school kids love her too. When I bring Addy to youth group there's always a willing set of arms to hold her and play with her (guys & girls included!) Here is a picture of Addy with melanie & lister. she also sees these girls every week at small group so they're no strangers!

i wish i could upload video of addy on here (i know there is a way but its too high tech for me) because the picture of her in the pink pjs standing up with Lucy was really a picture of her DANCING! She LOVES to dance. As soon as she hears music both hands go into the air and she "raises the roof." She also likes to stand up next to our chair and bounce up and down with one hand in the air. Yesterday at church she was having a blast clapping along with the music (well, kind of with the music...). Maybe there is some musical talent there after all!

Finally, here are a few shots of Addy as we see her most often these days... climbing up our legs! She knows how to let us know she wants us to pick her up. She'll crawl right over to me or Johnny, pull herself up into standing position and then bang on our legs until we comply. Aahh, toddlerhood is on the horizon!

Baby its coooold outside!!

Greetings from the never ending cold weather! Chicago is known for its sports teams, its pizza, its wind, its hot dogs, the blues.... but NOT its alluring winter weather. Its skiing weather but totally flat! People surely don't choose to live here because they love paying hundreds of dollars in electric and gas bills! It must be because they get a kick out of having their windshield wipers frozen to their windshield and laugh out loud when their car handle door is iced over... :)

But, all cold jokes aside sorry for giving everyone the cold shoulder these past few days.... it hasn't been for lack of material - Addy is as cute as can be... but we did have a busy weekend and I've been a little sluggish with uploading my pictures. Here are some snapshots of Addy at church last week. Isn't she adorable? I couldn't get her to snow because her face was frozen in that position... but I still love the pictures. The first one is my favorite.

There's also a shot of DD playing with Addy at church. DD & Josh are great with Addy. They both love her like crazy and shower her with affection and checks made out to her mom (hint, hint). I don't think this little one will be hurting for attention when the new baby comes... she's got most of her family wrapped around her little finger!

Connor's Club

Sam's Club has been officially renamed "Connor's Club." When Kathy & I went there last week Connor and Addy were all about each other. Connor recently began saying "Addy" in the clearest way imaginable! They were both very affectionate with each other (the pictures don't quite capture it) giving each other snuggly hugs and having a blast riding next to one another in the giant carts. Even while they were distracted by all that was going on around them Connor sat relaxing with his arm around his buddy. He's going to be such a good big brother to his new little sister!

walking, loving, cleaning

Addy loves her walker.... and when she isn't in it she creates a make-shift walker out of anything that moves around! Some of her most common make-shift walkers are the dining room chairs. The other day I saw her walking from one side of the dining room to the other and on into her room.

All of a sudden everything was unusually quiet. When I went to check on her I found her in the living room with my wallet out pointing and cooing at a picture of herself. (further proof we don't need to be taught how to love ourselves... its natural!)

Driving Miss Lucy

Most of you know that Adeline has a deep attachment to a little lamb we've named Lucy. She sleeps with Lucy, plays with Lucy, talks with Lucy, kisses Lucy and few people can make her face light up when she sees them like Lucy can. Here are some pictures of Addy walking around in her borrowed (thanks Connor) JEEP walker with her much cherished passenger.

For all you weekenders

I normally don't post on the weekends but all of us have a cold here so nobody is sleeping well.

Here are some pictures of Addy trying on her flower girl dress for Donnie & Shannon's wedding. Its a 2T! Its a tiny bit big on her but I don't think we'll need to have it altered. Its also very poofy (as you can see) and a little heavy so I think we'll have to try to put it on her several times before the wedding to get her used to it. Now we're hoping she'll be walking by the wedding, April 15!

Rubber Ducky, You're the one....

Johnny couldn't resist when he saw this giant rubber ducky at Marshall's. It was only $4.00 but that isn't really the point... we can't go into the kids section of Target or Marshall's without buying something for Addy. Correction: Johnny can't.

Addy is loving bath time more and more. She's always enjoyed baths but now she is splashing and giggling the whole time. During this bath she discovered that she could clap her two little duckies together. She thought it was hysterical, you can see some of the funny pictures of her laughing.

MOMS WHO READ MY BLOG: Is teething snot always clear? Sunday night Addy got a really stuffy nose and the snot isn't just clear... its also got some thicker parts in it. Is this normal or did she get a cold?
