Atlanta

We went to Atlanta last week to attend North Point Community Church's annual Grow Up conference. They have a fascinating vision for family ministry and are helping and affecting thousands of people in the area. It was a really interesting conference & Johnny & I both left with a lot to consider.

Surprisingly Addy did great in her pack and play. For all the fuss she gives me every time we go out of town she was great for my sister who graciously took THREE DAYS off of work to babysit Adeline while we were at the conference. What an incredible aunt!!

our trip to k-town

Addy loved being with the Sextons! Here is her with Spencer. They are about six weeks apart.

Here's Addy with Grant. Grant was the ring bearer in my wedding! He's way to big to be a ring bearer now. I can't believe how tall he's gotten.

Here's Addy playing with her friend Anna Kate. I should actually say playing alongside Anna Kate. The girls noticed each other and enjoyed the other one's presence but most of the playing was independent.



Anna Kate was teaching Addy how to read.


Auntie Les wasn't teaching them anything. Just enjoying two of her favorite gals!!


Addy's musical talents have improved. She's taken up piano with one hand and the xylophone with the other. You can imagine the beautiful music she produces!


Last, but not least... the reason we went to Knoxville. Amy's shower! Check out this amazing cake Julie made!

bike rides

Johnny, Adeline and I have been enjoying the spring weather on our new bikes and baby bike seat! Addy loves it. We'll usually ride to the park or over to her Grandma and Grandpa's house and back. Its good exercise for me (while I can get any!) and Addy loves it!


Here's a picture of Adeline with her new (and only) cousin Ajai. They get along well together. Ajai is good with her and she loves him!

Sorry for the delays in posting - I've been in Tennessee and just returned last night... and I'm leaving in the morning for Atlanta. More on my trip to TN when I return!

Well folks, she's officially walking. A step here a step there but never on demand and never more than a couple... until now! Johnny (who has been eagerly awaiting this day) has been working with her - standing her in the middle of the room and holding his arms out to her. She usually smiles, plops down and crawls over but as you can see in the video she all of a sudden decided to walk over! Since this video she's done this several times. It won't be long now before her big bellied mama is chasing after her!

Did we say Growing Family? We meant multiplying...

Just call us rabbits... no seriously! This family is gaining cousins and aunts and an uncle by the week! Joshy Hamstra asked his girlfriend Michelle Minuik to marry him!

Addy loves being outside... until it comes to the grass. I thought we might get some cute pictures of her sitting in this yard with all the pretty petals... but she clearly disagreed. She's warmed up to the grass a bit since we took these pictures but she still prefers to be grass free.















This last picture of Addy is cute because she was watching a video of her with my mom. When she heard my mom's voice her whole face lit up and she kept looking at Johnny & I in amazement with this big grin on her face!

Easter!
